“JUST BECAUSE YOU MADE A GOOD PLAN, DOESN’T MEAN THAT’S WHAT’S GONNA HAPPEN.” TAYLOR SWIFT
OK, let's talk about the kids.
Ready for date night? When you leave your child with a sitter, we always think about preparing them for the possibility if something happens at the house while you're away. But what if something happens to YOU while you're out??
Does this person know where you're going or who to contact if something happens?
Make sure your sitter is prepared in case emergencies happen. Write down the names and numbers of important contacts other than yourself - close neighbors, doctors, poison control - and make this list easy to get to and big enough to see! Here's a free babysitter's emergency contact list for you to print, fill out, and post on your fridge. Hold on to it and update it whenever you want!
I'm doing a series on issues dealing with planning with the kids in mind, including setting up trusts. Head over to the Family Conversation Facebook and Instagram pages to get some tips.
Let's get it together!
